Why You’re Like An Exploding Star

In this very moment your heart is pulsating life throughout your entire body.


In this very moment a star has run out of hydrogen at its core
and is collapsing upon herself.


In this very moment that same star is now exploding into little bits
of stardust all over the Universe. And in this dust she is creating
a breeding ground for thousands of new stars. As she dies she births
a thousand tiny points of new light into the dark, cold emptiness.


In this very moment your lungs are whispering the song of your aliveness
into your blood.

Inhaling, expanding.
Exhaling, contracting.

In this very moment the entire Universe is expanding, exponentially.
As Einstein once discovered many years ago, while taking sharp, deep
breaths as the wonder of it all coursed through his veins.

The truth is, love, that the very nature of this Universe is expansion.
It is physical law.

But in order for the expansion to occur, contraction must happen first.

The stars have proven it. Your body gives testimony to it.

And we are made of the same elements that make up stars.

We are the Universe.

If you find yourself in a state of contraction, trust that what appears as a collapse
is merely the Theory of Relativity in action.

The Universe is always expanding.

Contraction is an illusion.
Contraction is just the beginning stage of expansion disguised as a setback or a problem.

What would happen if you surrendered to it?
What would happen if you trusted it as necessary for you to birth
the new stars to light your soul’s journey?

No matter what is happening, have faith in this ancient and Universal truth:
No matter the contraction. No matter the metaphysical death.
No matter the size of the explosion.

It is all expanding. It is all birthing new light into the emptiness.

What would change if you began to view the contraction as reverently as the opening?
What would be born from that?
