I can’t afford it


I got a message in my inbox the other day from someone that said this:



Now, you’ll be surprised to hear me say this…but this is a Visibility Capacity issue.

Let me explain because I know you’re thinking this is a Money Capacity issue instead. Yes, it’s that as well. But it’s also visibility. Because our clients/potential clients can sometimes reflect unhealed parts of us.

Very often we are a mirror to our potential clients and they are a mirror for us, too. 

Whenever I have worked with a person who is hearing, ‘I can’t afford it’ a lot, I know a few possibilities:

  • They’re not showing up in the energy of their most wealthy selves (so, therefore, they aren’t being SEEN as a reflection for what’s possible by their clients. And if you aren’t setting that example for your clients, they can’t see THEMSELVES as someone who would invest those amounts in you.)
  • They don’t see themselves as worthy of receiving those prices for their work, therefore their clients aren’t seeing themselves as worthy of investing in their offer.
  • They are hiding some part of their genius from their offer, so their clients aren’t seeing the highest value in the offer, enough to want to pay for it.

Notice how ALL of these things are about: 

  • how you see yourself
  • what you’re putting out there to be seen, energetically speaking
  • and therefore how others are seeing you and your offer

I know this, because I have been what is considered a ‘premium level coach’ for YEARS and as a result, I have a highly successful program in which I teach other women how to start charging more for their work (and stop hearing, ‘I can’t afford it’).

Now, are there strategies in this course? Yes, of course. Lots of great tactics you can use.

One of my clients in that program went from charging $3500 for 6 months of work to landing her first $75,000 contract. She heard, ‘I can’t afford this’ SO MANY TIMES before we expanded how she was being SEEN. Now, she literally has people say yes to $75,000 with NO resistance.
